Outsider Artist Henry Darger
Henrye lived a reclusive life, working as a janitor in Chicago area hospitals and going to Catholic mass daily. Neighbors would see him going through the trash, picking out magazines and newpaper illustrations. Finally, at age 80, unable to climb the stairs to his room, he was moved to a nursing home and died shortly thereafter.

Cool Ranch Santa Fe
The list of glittering celebrities who haven’t visited here continues to grow and grow! From Marvin Hamlisch to Ivanka Trump — all have repeatedly not been here. And, really, who could blame them? Surrounded by free-range vermin, dust and wind, Cool Ranch is the place where the crème of Hollywood’s beautiful and elite are frequently not seen (why only last week Rob Lowe wasn’t spotted ordering his half-caffeine-189-degree-skinny-sugar-free-triple-shot-no-foam-one-packet-of-Splenda one pump vanilla latte at the kitchen counter!)

Joe Bartz
Hello,
My name is Joe Bartz. Throughout my life I have always been fascinated with things that are not real and are not normally talked about. As an artist, I feel it is important to concentrate on this because you can create things that cannot be captured by a camera or be seen by the naked eye.

I am a self taught painter born in 1970 in St. Louis where I currently make my home. Although my work is often cathartic and autobiographical, I like to think it transcends the artist and reaches an audience who is moved on a personal level.

Jason Cardenas
I am a self-taught artist, having closely observed the styles and techniques of many great artists in various genres, including realism and abstraction. To create a style of my own, I have attempted to incorporate the fundamentals of light and shadow, the illusion of depth, use of texture, and the composition of color.

Greg Oakes
offbeat illustrations that range from disturbingly dark to light-hearted and witty. strongly influenced by the pop culture of the 1970's and 80's, greg's work is one of many artistic voices which helps represent today's 30 something art generation. taking these blasts from the past and bringing them to life once again in the form of what some call "underground art", or simply "lowbrow"... a pop surrealism art movement. greg takes important childhood icons such as "looney tunes" & "the muppets", and blends them with early adult-hood influences such as "h.r. giger" and "robert crumb"... plus everything in between!

To talk simply of naïve art or art brut in connection with Mimine's work would be too simplistic: her outpourings are too complex and the controlled chaos she organizes with a rare, surprising courtesy, is no doubt too often asserted.

Lynn Dewart
Inner workings led to my first fabric sculpture in this series nine years ago. Writing my life story resulted in examination of my denial and repression of certain events. A diminutive figure imbued with the tale became the instrument of integration and healing. Ritual empowered this first small form and opened the way for other figures. As I became more open to the spontaneous eruption of emotion that punctuated this inner journey, more fabric sculptures followed allowing me to descend into the nether world, into the consciousness of disassembly and assembly. These sculptures became the manifestation of this process, the physical representation of the experience, of the journey.
